For us who believe so hard in the value of true orientation and “learning by doing“, the final event of the “Eureka, It Works!” project is always invaluable. Seeing students who put so much effort in making their toys and presenting them at their best, make us pride and happy.
For SIFA, a project like this, in which the knowledge acquired at school helps to build a truly functioning toy, is extremely interesting because we strongly believe that thanks to the various skills of each team member combined with knowledge, great things can be done, at any age. That’s why, every year, SIFA gives its support to the event.
This year, for the 12th edition of the project, on 9 and 10 May, at the Confindustria Ancona headquarters, the awards ceremony for the primary and lower secondary schools of some districts of the province of Ancona (with 250 participating children – everybody really eager to present their toys and show off their skills!), has been an occasion in which SIFA Technology spoke with them about the aptitudes valued in the corporate context, how to start a business, also proposing to the young competitors to try their hand in some specifics tasks to the various departments of a company. In this way, someone learned how to sell a product, someone else to conduct job interviews, others to chose the best materials as aTechnical Department really makes etc.
Other interventions also presented new skills in particular focusing on the value of integration, an important worth for SIFA’s culture.
In addition to various local companies who gave their notable contribution to the event, SIFA Technology gave its support by designing all the phases of this final event in collaboration with Confindustria Ancona. We promotes values and underlined how these occasions should be seen as great opportunities to grow, appreciate the value of solidarity and respect, of being able to commit to a common goal, accept defeat proactively, therefore learning to exploit it as a useful stimulus to improve, not only as small engineers but as person.
SIFA will continue taking part to projects which, like this one, add to the knowledge offered by school, the possibility of improving one’s manual skills, creativity and spirit of initiative or which simply give the input to get curious and informed about latest global news.
Keep following our initiatives and discover how our way of “doing business” is enriched every day!
